Friday, June 12 vs Windsor A's - Brampton 15 Windsor A's
It is always nice when you can start a tournament of this stature with an easy win, as they are hard to come by. The win will be meaningless unless they can dig out another win to advance to the semi's.
Caleb Chramow led the way with his 2 doubles and a single driving in 6 runs. The Ferreira's went 4 for 6, scoring 6 runs, and adding a couple of RBI's. 7 of the Royals runs came with 2 outs. Just as important, Barbier delivered his best outing of the season allowing a single, and 7 K's. in his 4 innings of work. Outstanding!
Saturday, June 13 @ Sarnia Brigade - Brampton 9 Sarnia 9
The Royals did exactly what they needed to do, and that was to take an early lead with Joe's 2 RBI single in the first. The bats stayed hot in the 2nd and upping the score to 5-0 on the strength of Lahey, Nolet and Caleb's doubles. A Brigade error proved costly on Joe’s hot grounder to short scoring a run, now 6-0. Joe (doing double duty) gave up a couple of runs in the 2nd and 3rd innings bringing the score to 6-4. Lebel brought home Brampton's 7th run when he singled home Nolet's double in the 4th, but the Brigade stormed back in their 4th with a 2-run homer. If it wasn't for a perfect pick-off at first it would have been a 3-run homer. That might have saved the game. Sarnia plated 3 in their 5th to take the lead 9-7. Brampton showed some fire in their belly scoring twice in their 7th to tie the game. Eric Ferreira entered the game in his old familiar role and didn’t allow any more runs in his 2 1/3 innings.
Brampton was pressured by a very good team in Sarnia and took a couple of shots to the chin, but they didn’t back down. This is reminiscent of the Royals of 6 or 7 years ago, bend but don’t break attitude, stay in the game.
Saturday, June 13 vs Burlington Brants - Burlington 7 Brampton 0
Brampton took their foot off the gas pedal, losing all momentum, managing only one hit, and leaving their pitchers to fend for themselves allowing only 3 earned runs because of 4 errors. Burlington is a very good team that doesn't need help to win.
The Royals have a month-long homestand in front of them. They will need to take advantage of this time to put together some sort of streak. They have shown they have the players, and talent to beat anyone, but they have also shown they can also lose to anyone.

May
(3-4-1)
Friday, May 8 @ Etobicoke - Etobicoke 8 Brampton 7
There was nothing in this game to indicate what kind of team this is for the 2026 season. Aside from competing against the best team in the league on their grounds Brampton had to compete against mother nature who always reminds us she’s still in charge.
Over the Royals last 6 season openers they have only one win, but bounced right back, posting a record of 20-9-1 in their opening 5 games, in those 6 seasons.
The pitching performance was outstanding for a season opener (or for any game), giving up only 3 hits. I’m sure the few fumbles were weather related. There’s always rust that needs to be removed, while still trying to compete and win.
Monday, May 11 @ Erindale - Brampton 16 Erindale 6
Ralph Lahey picked up where he left off from last season sealing the game with his slam. Caleb Chramow, Pinner, Jeminson, Cowper and Aidan Murphy all had multiple hits. Joe Ferreira chipped in belting a homer deep to left field. Tyler Barbier got his first start on the mound and pitched great giving a lone hit over his 3 innings of work, with 7 K's..
Something they need to work on is the BB, they're averaging 2 walks per inning, but that should fix itself with time.
Wednesday, May 14 @ Erindale - Erindale 10 Brampton 8
On the road the Cardinals of Erindale took an early 4-0 lead to open the game. Brampton would take a 7-6 lead into the 6th, but veteran Pip Murray-Smith's run tied it up again. Brampton's Sam Lebel would return the favour putting the Royals back in front in the home 7th, but Erindale would plate 3 in the 8th to seal the win.
Sunday, May 17 @ Waterloo (DH) - Waterloo 7 Brampton 6 (GM 1)
The Waterloo error in the 5th on Jeminson’s bases loaded single to right field put the Royals ahead 6-3. Waterloo would score in each of the 3 remaining innings to win 7-6. Pinlac led the way for Brampton going 3 for 4 with an RBI and a run. Aidan Murphy and Mucin each scored 2 runs.
This was the first outing for pitching standout Myles Swartz who allowed only 2 unearned runs in his 3 innings of work.
Waterloo 4 Brampton 4 (GM 2)
Once again the Royals of Brampton opened the scoring in the 3rd on Pinlac's sac fly scoring Caleb Chramow. In the 4th the Tigers missed a huge opportunity to score when Nolet who showed off his ability to battle, gave up 3 BB including a wild pitch and got out of it unharmed. Brampton then used the chance to double the score when Keegan Murphy homered to deep centre for his first of the season. Brampton took advantage of some sloppy play scoring twice in the 5th, putting them up 4-1. Waterloo score on a sac fly making the score 4-2, but those pesky Tigers weren't done yet, scoring twice in the 7th tying the score to finish the game.
Thursday, May 21, vs Erindale - Brampton 15 Erindale 10
The Erindale Cardinals visited Dave Dash for their third game versus the Royals already in the early season. In a rather sloppy game Brampton led 7-0 before Erindale got on the scoreboard in the 5th inning. Between the two teams there were 23 hits, 25 free passes via BB and errors. That’s 48 baserunners, some would say it was just another game between these two slugging franchises.
The only pitcher who refused to participate in the walkathon was Patreek Shrestha who took only 6 pitches to get through his inning of work. Well done.
Wednesday, May 27 @ Milton - Milton 6 Brampton 4
The Royals took advantage of an early wild pitch to score Aidan Murphy for their second run of the game. They would score a couple more in the third when Joe Ferreira flied out to right field allowing Dawson to advance to 3rd and Pinner would reach 2nd on a steal. Dawson stole home, then Cowper doubled home Pinner.
The Red Sox would bounce back with 5 unanswered runs to take the game 6-4. Brampton had an opportunity in the 6th when they loaded the bases with nobody out and couldn’t cash them in.
The game tomorrow vs Oakville will determine whether they are 3-4-1 or 2-5-1. There’s a huge difference in those numbers.
Thursday, May 28 vs Oakville - Brampton 13 Oakville 2
This 13 to 2 game was never in doubt as the Royals scored 3 in the 2nd, one more in the 4th, 2 in the 5th and 5 in the 9th to seal the victory. Combined with great pitching performances by Aidan Murphy and Brendan Nolet, giving up only 2 runs on 7 hits and 15 K’s.
Eric Ferreira led the way with 4 hits, 4 RBI, and a run. Logan Janes went 3 for 3, 2 RBI and 3 runs. It was an overall solid team effort.
The team was very patient collecting 8 BB’s of which 3 of them scored.
Let’s see if they can carry their momentum to Burlington on Wednesday.
June
(1-3)
Wednesday, June 3 @ Burlington - Burlington 7 Brampton 3
In what started out as a classic pitcher's duel, Brampton held a very slim 3-2 lead going into the bottom half of the 6th inning. In the 6th Burlington tallied for a couple of 2 out runs., and the bottom half of the Brants 7th, scored 2 more on a single, double, a HBP, another walk, and a wild pitch.
Sam Lebel led the offense for the Royals with his 4 hits and Caleb Chramow had 3 hits and an RBI.
Thursday, June 4 vs Etobicoke - Brampton 7 Etobicoke 6
The Royals looked to be headed for another loss to the Rangers. Being down 6-2 in the Brampton 8th, they took full advantage of Ethan Chramow’s perfect 1 out sac bunt scoring Keegan Murphy from 3rd for the walk-off run taking victory from Etobicoke. The Rangers charity extended to 4 Royal’s who reached base either by a HBP or a BB then scored.
Patrick Pinlac went 2 for 4 with a double and scored a run. Aidan Murphy had a timely 8th inning 2 RBI single scoring Pinlac and Joe Ferreira which tied the game.
On the pitching side, Aidan allowed only 2 ER during his 5 innings of work. Kyle Mucin earned the win by keeping the Ranger bats at bay, not allowing any runs to score to finish the game.
The team should carry what they learned about themselves and their potential that they can take into the Sarnia Tournament June 12.
Saturday, June 6 at Milton - Milton 9 Brampton 2
Brampton was never in this one giving up 7 runs in the 3rd giving Milton an easy victory. Brampton was getting the batters on base but were unable to score them.
The Royals still have a way to go if they want to earn a podium result in the Sarnia Tournament. Winning the tournament demands every player play at their very best through every game.
Thursday, Jun 11 vs Etobicoke - Etobicoke 14 Brampton 1
It looks as though the team used this game to get the kinks out of their game. If that was the case, they are ready to collect a couple upsets in Sarnia. There's nothing better than entering a tournament under the radar, not expecting to do anything. This team still has a lot surprises in them.
Thursday, June 18 vs Milton -
